Polymer Engineering, Inc. was founded in 1998 by William W. Merritt and Dr. E. Charles McClenachan. Both had previously been with R. H. Carlson Co., Inc. for over 20 years.

The basic purpose of Polymer Engineering was to utilize the technology experience to create a design, consulting, and distribution operation. Much of PE’s initial work was in consulting with companies in various manufacturing processes involving epoxy and silicone adhesives. More recently, PE has begun to distribute silicone fluid, either from USA or foreign sources. Sold in 5 gallon or 55 gallon drums, the silicone fluid finds usage in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, coatings, and lubrication. Non toxic, non flammable, and with no noxious order, silicones are present in most aspects of today’s life.

Our customers include the Department of Defense, Mission Pharmacal (NATO), British Aerospace, AT&T, Okonite Cable, Learjet and a broad spectrum of similar companies.
